Ever had one of those days when life just feels a little harder?
Like the world’s piling on, decision after decision, stress after stress? Sometimes it’s almost like there’s a giant “pause” button hiding somewhere, but we just can’t find it. It’s a common experience for business owners. Afterall, the weight of the world really is on our shoulders in so many ways.
I’ve been in business for a very long time. Over quarter of a decade now. I’ve had my up times and my down times just like anyone else. Now, I don’t know how your business (or life!) is going. You could be at the top of your game, or struggling to get out of the pits. Either way, I’ve got a little strategy that might help you on those tough days.
Ever heard of the book called The Messiah’s Handbook by Richard Bach? Here’s a quick, easy way to get your mindset back on track whenever you need it or to help you make a big decision that you might be finding hard to make. Anytime you’re feeling overwhelmed or facing some big life decision, you can just flick open this book to any page, and bam… there’s a little nugget of wisdom waiting for you. The pages are filled with these short, punchy quotes. They’re simple, yet they hit deep. Like, the kind of stuff that makes you think, “How did it know?” This struggle isn’t a common problem for me, but I’m also not too proud to admit that some days are harder than others. Whenever I’m feeling that knot in my chest – whether it’s from juggling too many things or just life doing its usual whirlwind act – I reach for this book, pick a page at random, and read. Sometimes, it’s all I need to see things from a new angle, and get a little more clarity.
So here’s a thought: what’s your go-to reset button? How do you shake off the world’s weight? Whether it’s grabbing a pint at the pub, chilling by the villa, or losing yourself at a concert, we’ve all got that thing that helps us get back to centre. I’d love to hear what works for you. Maybe we’re all just one “Messiah’s Handbook” away from a little peace and clarity.
P.S. Next time you’re struggling with a decision or just need to hit the pause button, try flipping through a book like this. Who knows? You might find the answer was there all along…
